Nature and environment

Geographical location, relief

  Érbogyoszló lays on a downy area, between the hills of Szalacs, on the north part of Bihar County, at 7 km from Margitta towards north-east and at 20 km from Mihályfalva.

  The tiny brooks of the village become one in the Berettyó river.

  The nearest railway station is found at 7 km , in Bolkás.

  This climate here is influenced by the oceanic atmosphere, the medium temperature is 10ºC/year and the area is dominated by the northern wind.

  The specific flora of this region is the steppe patched with woods. Beside this, there is also a huge reed. Its topsoil is of a good quality, the specific soil is that of the black one.

Water-sources;

  The underground water of the village is highly saline.

  The eastern part of the village is intercepted by the brook called Csatorna but between Margitta and Érbogyoszló there is also a catchment area.

Natural and protected area

  The wooden part of the village lays on an area of 488 ha , the age and the sizes of the oaks are very gripping. Another specific flora of this area is the reed which occupies a less territory nowadays than before, it is of 186 ha . The specific flora of it is the rush, sedge and the reed.

  The catchment area mentioned above is found between Margitta and Érbogyoszló and it is an excellent touristical potential.

Waste management

  According to the function of production the garblings can be classified as: garblings of the household, the greenbelt and of the streets. Industrial garblings don't exist here as there is no industrial production in the village.

  Objectives:

  - Building of the strategies about the handling of the garblings

  - The foundation of a refuse burner

  - The ecologic education of the local people, programmes for the pupils

  - The cooperation of the local administration and the school in order to involve the local youth in the grooming activities on the area

  - The consciousness of the importance of gathering the garblings selectively

  - The interfere of the local authority in the sake of the legal gathering of the garblings and of the liquidation of the illegal garbling staples

  - The salvage of the garblings gathered selectively, for example: paper, glass, metals, plastics

  - The knowledge and the evoluation of the waste management

  - The salvage of the organic garblings
