History

The village Érbogyoszló - to which belongs also Albis - is found on the north part of Bihar County, along the road that binds Margitta and Mihályfalva, at about 70 km from Nagyvárad.

In the records of 1552 it is mentioned as Bogyozlo. Under the reign of the Turks the village was deserted, in 1692 there existed only 4 serfs in Albis who were considered to originate from Érbogyoszló.

From 1720 the village became populated again.

It was the first village in Bihar in which a collective farm was founded, in 1949.

Albis is at a distance of 1 km from the center of this village. In 1333 it was mentioned as Alba and later on, only in 1828 got it the name of Albis. This village was permanently populated, as the Turks haven't disturbed its peace.
